Down For The Count

              Part 2

HOME

Original air date: 01/16/1987

The episode starts off with a review of the previous episode, part 1. In a unique move, the entire teaser is a review.

Then we see the opening montage, version 8.

Act 1 opens at Larry’s wake. It is unknown if the exterior and interior were filmed at the same location but it is very unlikely.

Location unknown.

Then we cut to the interior of the OCB where Stan is still beside himself.

Filmed on set at Greenwich Studios.

Next we see Stan at Metro talking with  the Internal Affairs guys. This was also filmed on set at the studio.

Then we cut to the exterior of Larry’s apartment. This was filmed at 734 10th Street, Miami Beach.

Then we go inside which was also filmed at 734 10th Street.

Then we go to the post office to pick up the registered parcel. This was filmed at the Washington Avenue Post Office which we saw used in El Viejo. 1300 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach.

Crockett and Tubbs discover that the parcel is Guzman’s coded book. They are parked on the north side of 13th Street just off of Washington Avenue.

As viewed from post office

Then we go to Guzman’s house. Filmed on location at 1451 North View Drive, Sunset Island 1, Miami Beach.

Then we go to Vegas we see shots of the strip and Freemont Street as well as a distant shot. All from stock footage.

Then we go inside Mr. Giulinni’s office. This has every indication of being a set at Greenwich Studios but I have not confirmed this yet.

Then we see FBI Agents listening in to Giulinni’s phone call. This was also likely filmed on set at Greenwich Studios.

Then we return to the interior of the OCB. Filmed on set, Stage A.

Next, we return to Guzman’s where C+T continue to play their roles.

Then we see C+T driving. They are northbound in the 175 block of Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach.

Then we see Gina and Trudy arrive at the code breaker’s. This was filmed at the Opa-locka Airport.

Then we see Giulinni arrive at the airport. This was likely filmed at Opa-locka Airport but not enough is seen to say for sure that it was filmed there.

Then we see Crockett and Tubbs in the Testarossa. Well actually it is Crockett and Stone as this first cut is reused footage from Stone’s war as they are northbound on West Avenue past 15th Street and then they turn eastbound on 15th Terrace, Miami Beach.

Then we see Crockett and Tubbs southbound on Biscayne Blvd. passing 21st Street where Vespa spots them as he is facing east.

Then we see them pass Braman (not the BMW store) southbound on Biscayne Blvd.

Then southbound on Biscayne Blvd. from NE 20th Terrace to NE 20th Street passing 2020 and then the music store at 2010 Biscayne.

Then still southbound on Biscayne Blvd. passing 20th Street.

Then it cuts to Crockett’s view looking in his side view mirror. However they are now northbound on Biscayne passing 2138 Biscayne Boulevard just north of the Bicardi Building.

They are still northbound on Biscayne Blvd. but they are just south of where we just saw them. They are passing a real motorcycle cop directing traffic for the filming. In real time it is not likely that too many people would notice him. They are northbound on Biscayne Boulevard passing the Biccardi Building at 2100 Biscayne that we saw in Brother’s Keeper.

“They’re coming your way.” Apparently he means Crockett and Stone as this is again, reused footage from Stone’s War. They are southbound on West Avenue toward 16th Street.

“Looks like we picked up a tail.”

“Let’s take a little ride.”

They are now southbound on Biscayne Boulevard passing NE 17th Terrace. The building on the right (1730) has more recently been seen in Burn Notice. In episode 54, Hard Time where we see Sam stop here to shed his tail. This is also where we see C+T tailing Rivers in episode 33, Phil The Shill.

Then we see Vespa pick up the chase by pulling out of NE 19th Street onto Biscayne Blvd. headed south. The buildings seen in the near background are long gone. The omni is seen in the far background as they head south and Abram’s Fabrics building ((1789 Biscayne Blvd. (blue arrow below)) are still there.
